Winter Activities
Cross Country Skiing
With 25 groomed trails, totaling almost 20 kilometers, Victoria Park is fast becoming the go-to area for avid cross-county skiers. Trails are groomed for both classic and skate skiing in the park. Find the ski map here
Snowshoeing
Enjoy snowshoeing in Victoria Park this winter. The steady crunch or airy fluff beneath your feet will make a snowshoe stroll a rewarding experience. There are many areas to challenge yourself by climbing up gorges and winding your way through the trees, or simply enjoy a leisurely walk on one of the more open trails.
Fat Biking
Try fat biking in the Railyard. Fat bikes have much wider tires and are inflated with much less pressure than that of a traditional mountain bike. That enables fat bikes to float over snow where a traditional tire would dig in. Come and enjoy the comfort, traction and ease of fat biking in the Railyard. Fat bike rentals are available locally through Bike Monkey and Hub Cycle.
Hiking
Enjoy the special beauty of Victoria Park in the winter with a hike through the many trails. You may even come across deer or other small winter animals. Ensure you are wearing proper footwear and please don’t walk on groomed trails. Ice spikes are suggested. While trails are not maintained in the winter months, trails are available for use at your own risk.
